Acadian Securities Inc. is committed to protecting the confidentiality and the security of information we collect about our clients. We do not share nonpublic, personal information about you outside Acadian without your consent except for specific purposes described below, and in accordance with all applicable laws. Further, the use of such personal information will only be for the purpose for which it was collected.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

For Acadian’s purposes, personal information includes your name, address, age, gender, income, marital status, finances, employment, as well as certain other references (Bank Account numbers; Social Insurance Number). We will only provide personal information in instances where we have your personal consent or where we are required to do so by law. We will protect the personal information we obtain about you with appropriate safeguards and security measures. We will make every reasonable effort to keep information about you current and we ask that you make us aware of changes if they are material and/or affect our ability to provide appropriate financial advice. Also, incomplete and inaccurate records provide a window of opportunity for those who may wish to commit fraud.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

There may be conditions where we are required by law to disclose certain of your personal information to securities regulators, or other industry oversight organizations to which Acadian Securities Inc. is subject. (The Investment Dealers Association of Canada, and RS Inc are two examples). Also, information may be disclosed for audit or research purposes, or to attorneys or other professionals, or to law enforcement agencies to help, for example, the prevention of fraud or money laundering.

YOUR RIGHTS

As a client of Acadian Securities Inc., you have the right to request access to the personal information we have with regards to your account. It is also your right to refuse to provide us with certain information or to request that certain information not be used in certain circumstances. However, such limitation(s) might restrict our ability to provide service to your account.

Even if you are no longer an Acadian Securities Inc. account our Privacy Policy will continue to apply to you.
